![]() ![]() It is used to enchant weapons, craft runes, and weave spells. The Odinforce is a mystical energy wielded by an ancient god in a mythological floating city. Because, as Death Battle has had to explain a number of times, Ki is not magic. This is as close as we could come to describing Galactus choosing his heralds and granting the Power Cosmic in the context of Dragonball, so there's no chance that Forced Spirit Fission would work there, either.Īnd after all that, even if everything else were not true or were to be ignored, there's one more detail that makes it clear how little Forced Spirit Fission would matter in this fight.Įven after Vegeta has knocked every last bit of energy out of Moro, using Forced Spirit Fission to its fullest extent, the villain is still in total command of his magical powers. So, now we can see that the Forced Spirit Fission cannot take away powers granted by a higher being through an agreed upon bargain. Even though Vegeta is continuously hitting Granolah, he never gets any weaker, and never releases any power, nor does Vegeta ever expect him to. The very next arc after Moro is defeated, Goku and Vegeta fight against Granolah, a Cerealian who summoned the dragon Toronbo, and sacrificed his own life in order to be the strongest in the universe. But once again, the manga easily disproves this. Other fans will say that, even if it could not remove the Thorforce, it could remove the Powers Cosmic, and even allow Vegeta to absorb those into himself. nor does it affect powers given to you willingly by other beings Forced Spirit Fission is not going to be an essential tool for the character that his whole style will revolve around, its a power he gets for a single arc thats made to be used against a villain that can steal power. In the story, the power was given to Vegeta right before he gains not just Hakai, but Ultra Ego style. The actual description given is "It tears apart things that were combined through fusion or absorbtion." Not even the most lax definition of either term would apply to the Thorforce, an energy that Thor inherited from his father.īecause of course it wouldn't. The theory that fans are using seems to come from the idea that Thor's powers are drawn from the Thorforce - originally known as the Odinforce - and therefore, Vegetas power would be able to forcibly remove them from him.Įxcept, nowhere does any description of Forced Spirit Fission allude to anything that wide. Of course, it working at all is unlikely, given another factor that keeps being distorted. And unlike Death Battle season 1, Vegeta will not have plot armor to protect himself. Rather than being a way to end the fight instantly, all it would mean is that Vegeta may eventually be able to gain an advantage if he can survive the fight long enough. By the time it started draining any signficient energy from Moro, the goat had already kicked Vegetas face into a mountain, and slammed him around like a rag doll. In actuality, the move takes a LONG time to work, and at first, does nothing, as it is evidently based on knocking energy out of someone proportional to the damage you are doing. So, I think we should clear up some misconceptions about what, exactly, Forced Spirit Fission is, how it works, and, most importantly, whether or not it could possibly apply to Thor.Ī number of people have been overstating how well this move could work, even suggesting that, if Vegeta is able to land a single hit, then Thor would lose all of his powers. However, the capabilities, efficiency, and applicability of this move seem to have been distorted, owing from a number of people repeating other peoples claims and descriptions, without reading the manga themselves. It would seem that there are a lot of Dragonball fans who believe that they have found Vegeta's ace in the hole, if his upcoming fight is against Thor - Forced Spirit Fission.
